1 cup diced crystallized ginger
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel
12 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cups heavy cream

The Kahunas are all summer babies. It’s one happy birthday party after another from July through September. Of course any reason to bake and eat cupcakes works for me…
