Last minute insanity

In less than 20 hours we are supposed to be on a plane winging our way to Moscow for the first leg of trip#1.
Bags are mostly packed, by some miracle we have managed to squish ten outfits purchased as gifts for the baby home, toys for the girls (including stuffed westie puppies to help introduce the four legged kahunas) clothes for the two of us for 10 days, snacks and instant foods for 5 days (dubious reports from other families who have been to Chita ensured that power bars and fruit snacks were packed en masse) a pile of paperwork, xrays to prove we don’t have TB, and of course the shiny new camcorder from Sony that also takes still pics (we thought our pro gear might not go over so well with the authorities.) all if that fits into 2 carry on bags each weighing less than 11lbs plus a messenger bag and small back pack. We’re all carry on baby!
Last minute insanity added to this fun is that we’ve added one last construction project to open up the playroom into the nursery for more light and space. We just learned that instead of starting at the end of the month the construction has to start on Monday. So! In addition to having to apologize in advance to my mother, who will be staying at the house while we are gone, and to the Kahunas who work in the Third Floor Studios, we now have to clear out the playroom and nursery and cat room so that it is ready for the men made of dust to come in.
Sigh, we had just finished getting it decorated for the photos for the court documents in Russia.
Oh well! The added space will be amazing and much needed once we get home with the two Wee Kahunas!
We’ll be posting during our trip (as long as we can get a signal somewhere)
Best wishes to you all!

Bon Voyage and goodbye to all cares as you travel. May good fortune smile upon the four of you. DaveO
Good luck!
The room looks so beautiful! I think Kirk should get a bulldozing Kahuna name . . .
