The Cluttered Pantry

Just a quick update…. We have officially accepted the referrals for the girls. A flurry of regional documents have been completed and sent in to be added to our Dossier so that we can be eligible for invitation from the Ministry of Education to travel for our 1st trip. This process may take a while. The region the orphanage is in is actually closer to Mongolia than it is to Moscow. That means long delays in paperwork in-country that must be completed, then translated, then sent to the actual city.

For now we are being told that we could travel as early as middle of July, so we have to prepare for that just in case. We could get as little as 72 hours notice or as long as three weeks. So, do we pack bags and get everything ready and just sit by the front door, or do we go about our daily lives and plan to run around at the last minute? It certainly makes the day to day more exciting

We’ve been trying to explain to the Westie Pups that all the moving stuff around and boxes (a bit of shopping online has been going on here!) are a good thing. Mostly they are confused about us setting up that nice, good smelling room with the new floors and carpet that we aren’t letting them play in.

I don’t expect to have much to post until we hear about our travel dates…we’ll check in now and then to keep you up to date.
